This was a proud moment for Kinesis as we will also be celebrating our 20th anniversary in just a few months. Debbie Gallifant, Finance Director and one of the founders of the company, reflected about this significant event: "This is a very special and proud moment for us as a company. Receiving The Queen’s Award, almost 20 years after the company was first founded, took me back to the early days when we were operating out of our spare room with just a desk, computer and filing cabinet! Today we were honoured to receive the UK’s highest accolade for business success – The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade."

Upper l-r: Sir David Arculus, High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire; Mr Jamie Gallifant, Kinesis Group Managing Director; Mr John Bridge OBE, Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire and Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce; Councillor Sebastian Kindersley, Chairman of Cambridgeshire County Council. Lower l-r: Mr Roy Testa, Kinesis Group Commercial Director; Mrs Gillian Beasley OBE, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire County Council and Clerk to the Lieutenancy; Mr Hugh Davies, Kinesis Group Director – Corporate Development.

The ceremony was attended by Kinesis employees, business partners and distinguished guests from the local community. The Queen’s Awards are granted annually by HM The Queen, and this year Kinesis received the award in recognition of achieving more than 200% increase in export sales over the last six years, with the percentage of sales exported growing from 19% to 56% over the same period.

In his address to Kinesis, Mr John Bridge OBE, stressed "International trade is something that many of us need to focus on at the current time and you are a company that really sets the pace and shows other people how it’s really not about uncertainty but rather about opportunity and for that we fully congratulate you."

Commenting on the award, Jamie Gallifant Group Managing Director said: "We are delighted and honoured to have won this prestigious award, this success is directly attributable to the efforts of all within the Kinesis Group. We’d particularly like to recognise the long term support of our customers and supply partners. This is an important stage in our company development and we will strive to continue to offer unrivalled service and support to our global customer base."

Guests to the ceremony were also given a tour of the Kinesis building and were the first to see the office since it's recent refurbishment. We also debuted our new corporate video which you can now watch below:
